Nancy Frye

My name is Nancy Louise Ketron Frye. I am currently teaching the CACC Kindergarten class. My husband's name is John who is an assistant manager for Wal-Mart. We have a daughter, Alison, currently at Carson Newman. I live in Jacksboro but, I grew up in Kingsport, TN. I have been teaching at CACC since 1992.

I came to CACC as a substitute for another teacher and was hired shortly thereafter. While at CACC I worked towards my teacher's certification for 3 years then had to leave CACC to complete my coursework and serve my internship. I returned to CACC in 2001. I have taught Kindergarten since that time.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in the college of Home Economics with a major in Interior Design in 1973. I also received my Teaching Certificate from the University of Tennessee. I have held many titles and positions through the years while following my husband and his job since 1983 through Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee. Some of which have been interior designer, newspaper asst. editor, waitress and nursing home activities director.

I enjoy flower gardening, reading, sewing, crochet, knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, walking and identifying wildflowers and birds. I am presently a member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church.
