Cherry Ann Wilson

My name is Cherry Ann WIlson. I live in Caryville, TN with my husband, Truman, and our son, Zachary, who also attends CACC. My family and I attend OLPH Catholic Church in LaFollette, TN. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Lincoln Memorial University in 1988. During my profession in Social Work I worked with children as well as in the healthcare setting.

During my high school years I began feeling "called" to work with who the Bible refers to as "the least of these". After completeing my degree, through much thought and prayer I joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, a volunteer program similar to the Peace Corps. We worked with the inner city's "poorest of the poor". My favorite Bible verse is  Matthew 25:45, "When you do this for the least of my people you did it for me." After my experiences in the Corps, I truly believe I fulfilled that aspect of my longing to serve the less fortunate.

I have been teaching since 2004 and have always LOVED children! I imagined a  house full of children one day. I have been blessed to have one boy "at home" and a "classroom full" of children! I have no doubt that God led me to CACC so I could be blessed with more children. Children are a gift from God.
