ADMISSION & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
Admission to CACC is grnted on the basis of past academic performance, previous conduct nd behavior records, interviews, testing availability of spce, and a personal promise. Acceptance or non-acceptance is also based on the ability of the school to meet the educational and spiritual needs of the applicant.
In addition, parents must be in agreement with the mission, philosophy, and policies of the school.
Additional policies and regulations regarding admission and/or re-enrollment to CACC include:
- Preschoolers must be four years of age by October 1.
- Kindergarten students must be five years of age by October 1.
- First graders must be six years of age by October 1.
- Entrance testing is required for all students grades three through eight.
- The applicant must have a minimum "C" average in academic subjects and an exemplary conduct record. Students suspended, dismissed, expelled or having a history of disciplinary problems at previous schools will not be considered for acceptance.
- The school cannot admit students with "special" education needs due to the lack of equipment, training and resources needed for children with severe physical, mental, behavioral or emotional problems.
- All students (new and returning) are considered to be on probation for the first grading period. Probation may be extended an additional grading period on the recommendation of the teacher and the administrator.
- Excessive behavior problems, excessive absences or extremely poor academic performance may result in dismissal.
- The school must have copies of transcripts, permanent records and the most recent report card from the previous school attended.
- Copies of each child's birth certificate, social security card, Tennessee certificate of immunization and current physical must be presented prior to admission.
- Students who withdraw during the school year must re-apply for admission in the same manner as a new student. If a student withdraws as a result of a controversy, the CACC Board of Directors must approve the student's readmission.
- Pre-registration for the next year begins in February of the current academic year.
